Supplies:

  • Box of Crayons
  • A Canvas
  • Hot glue gun
  • Blow Dryer
  • Newspapers for the wax to drip on
  • Masking Tape (for adding a picture)

Directions:

  • Leave on or take off crayon wrappers and hot glue them to the top of your canvas you can put them in order or random
  • You can cut the crayons in half then glue them so it doesn’t take up so much room of the top of your canvas (optional)
  • Prop the canvas up slanted on newspapers so the wax drips down on it
  • Once ready turn on the blow dryer and start melting the crayons and let it drip
  • Once it has dripped to your liking let it sit and dry and you are done

Adding a picture:

  • Another way you can do it is all the same steps but adding an image
  • First before you melt the crayons you can make your own image by drawing or using other mediums on the canvas
  • You can also Tape down a design or picture with masking tape before you melt, so after you melt the crayons you peel up the tape and wax will not have touched that area

You can also get really complex with melted crayon art, I have personally done this myself and it’s really fun!
