Chapter one is named “Ultraviolet” and was released on Nov. 12, 2021. In this chapter, lip glosses, mascara, fake eyelashes, eye pencils, eyeshadow palettes, highlighters, and lipsticks are featured. On Aug. 12, 2022, an expansion pack for chapter one was released, including eyebrow gel, eyebrow pencils, and multi-use eye sticks.
Chapter two is named “Goodnight & Go” mainly focusing on skincare in contrast to chapter one, which mainly focuses on makeup. Chapter two was released on Mar. 21, 2022, and features the products “Cooling Blurring Under Eye Balm”, “Common Face Mist”, and “Lash and Brow Boosting Serum”. Cream blushes, eyeshadows, and eyeliner are also a part of the collection.
Chapter three, “On Your Collar” was released on June 16, 2022 and mainly focuses on lip products. In this chapter, a liquid lipstick, lip pencil, mascara, lip stain marker, lip oil, and eyeshadow are featured.
Chapter four was the latest release on July 28, 2022. Named “Out Of Body”, the main focus of this chapter is concealer. Grande has released sixty concealer shades, including a black and white concealer to mix with other shades and create a better fitting tone. Grande’s “r.e.m. beauty” has the highest number of concealer shades featured in a beauty brand, beating Rihanna’s “Fenty Beauty” with fifty shades of concealer.
The theme of the brand is celestial, with the majority of products having a space themed name. All products in the brand are vegan, cruelty free, paraben free, and recyclable. Many of these products also have multi-use, making the brand even more eco-friendly.
Many fans were surprised about the launch of the makeup brand. Grande had not released any music since her “Positions” album in late October of 2020, which started to worry fans about her continuing to make music. Because of the absence of new music, a beauty brand seemed far from possible. Grande’s line has been trending on all social media platforms since launching last year and has since become very popular.
