It’s that time of the year again when the Formula 1, which is the highest class of single-seat auto racing that is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile, season comes upon us. However, this season is not quite like those who came before it: not all the cars look the same. This year, thanks to different rules and regulations, the shark fin, which diverts turbulent air from the rear wingand dates back to 2008 when Red Bull first introduced it on their RB4, especially while cornering, is back and it has already proved its worth after it led Ferrari’s prancing horse, driven by Sebastien Vettel to avoid the view of hamilton’s car rear end, who came in second place, at Melbourn and speed to victory with a, truly astonishing, 9.975 seconds to spare and winning first place for Ferrari. This number becomes even more impressive after you keep in mind that Vettel had 7 more pit stops than Hamilton, 25 compared to Hamilton’s 18, this just testifies to Ferrari’s great engineering, also hats off to Ferrari’s pit crew. Another big change this year is that Mercedes had a new driver, Valtteri Bottas, to replace Nico Rosberg, former world champion. However, Bottas shows great promise after he came in third place. Unfortunately, however, Mclaren, who once dominated, do not look like they will be putting on a show this year seeing that the reliability problems they suffered from last season move on to this one and continue to haunt them this season, that’s a shame.
