Grease Comes to REV

In March, REV’s theatre department will begin production for Grease, REV’s first musical in five years.

The play, Grease, was written in 1971 by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. The play’s Broadway success lead to the famous 1978 movie adaptation, featuring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Since then, there have been numerous revivals of the classic all around the world.

The story focuses on the 1950s romance of tough guy greaser Danny Zuko and wholesome girl next door Sandy Dumbrowski, portrayed by REV students Nick Vargas and Mikaela Frame. Each is respectively accompanied by fellow Greasers and Pink Ladies.

The show is directed by Mrs. Kathleen Johnson, alongside Student Technical Director Hannah Gates, Musical Director Mr. Brian Hollett, Choral Director Mrs. Rita Stevens, and Choreographer Mrs. Evie Newman.

Show dates for Grease are March 4, 5, 11, and 12 at 7:00 pm, with a 1:30 matinee on March 5. Tickets are $15, and $10 for kids or with ASB.
