REV Tennis Thrives with Team Mentality

By Aarron Andreas and Andres Downey
There comes a time when a hobby becomes a passion. There comes a time when a team becomes a family. Coach Stark, the Redlands East Valley tennis coach, has been involved with tennis for most of his life, starting with his involvement with the sport at age 14. Before coaching at REV, Mr. Stark was a private instructor and a coach at Valley College. Now coaching at REV, he hopes that his team will “keep working hard” and continue to improve. Coach Stark believes that the team will be able to make it to the playoffs with a couple of key wins against Cajon and Citrus Valley.

Along with Mr. Stark, the REV tennis team also has Emma Bonhert, one of the top doubles players for the team along with being a team captain. She is very proud of the team’s perfect five and zero record to start. As team captain, Emma strives to inspire her fellow teammates to reach their full potential. She also hopes to make the playoffs and for the team to be one of the top three teams in CBL.

As the year progresses, Mr. Stark and his team have high hopes for this year’s season and are all striving to work hard and reach their full potential.
