Seniors looking for community service hours can look no further than Sylvan Park. On Sept. 12, 2015 from 8 a.m to 3 p.m., the YouthHope Foundation will be hosting their 2nd annual “Day in the Park Car Show and Family Fun Extravaganza” at Sylvan Park by the University of Redlands.
The YouthHope Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to battle poverty and abuse and confront homelessness and barriers to stability for high risk youth in our communities. They offer proven methods to cultivate youth’s potential by providing needed resources such as food, clothing, and support for entry into jobs and school.
This family friendly event will include a charity car show, kids fun zone, community art display, vendors, a BBQ lunch, live entertainment, and a silent auction plus raffle tickets with great prizes.
If you are interested in participating in the car show, the community art display, or as a vendor in support of helping eradicate homelessness in the youth, contact Stefanie at (909) 583-1542 or email@example.com.
High-school volunteers are needed to help in the kids’ carnival area, and the opportunity to earn community service hours is available. For additional information about volunteering, contact Krista Sauls at (909) 557-3572 or Kristas2000@yahoo.com for more information on how to volunteer.
