Citrus Valley High School welcomed over five hundred freshmen on Aug. 4. One hundred juniors and senior Link Crew leaders gathered in the Citrus Valley gymnasium as they cheered on the new class of freshmen. The days prior were spent preparing for the freshman arrival and learning from Link Crew advisor, Lisa Reed. The Link Crew leaders practiced team building games and leadership skills necessary for the big day. |
The leaders spent hours with the new class on August 6th and enjoyed their spunk and attitude about entering high school. After getting to know all the new faces and playing a great amount of games, the freshmen were treated to a barbecue to end their first (practice) day of high school. In addition, Link Crew hosted a Snow Cone Social for the freshmen before the first home football game on September 4th. Link Crew members cooled off with a snow cone and mingled with their friends as they celebrated the great addition to Citrus Valley, the class of 2019.
